MAIN SPHERES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT
Basic problems:
- monitoring of the state-of-art tendencies and determination of the development strategy in the sphere of powerful high-voltage pulse systems;
- theoretical and experimental research aimed at production of the contemporary high-voltage pulse equipment;
- study of electrophysical processes and development of the high-voltage high-frequency technological equipment for pulse technologies;
- development of the special-purpose systems of diagnostics and control of electrophysical processes;
- study and development of intelligent control systems for the electrodischarge processes.
The staff of the department includes 5 candidates of engineering science and 3 postgraduate students.
Average age of the specialists is 43 years.
ÎCÍÎÂÍÛÅ ÍÀÓ×ÍÛÅ ÍÀÏÐÀÂËÅÍÈß È ÐÀÇÐÀÁÎÒÊÈ ÎÒÄÅËÀ:
Study of electrophysical processes and development of pulse high-voltage equipment for purification of gas exhausts from ecologically harmful industrial objects
Study of the processes of synthesis of carbon nanomaterials realized by the electrical discharge action on gaseous hydrocarbon media
Study of high-voltage high-frequency electrophysical processes for the development of the methods to increase the service life of technological objects, buildings, constructions, and various structures
Tendencies of the scientific and engineering activities of the department for the next 3-5 years:
- Development of the theoretical and experimental bases in the field of nanosecond and microsecond generators production for the great pulse repetition frequency values at voltage range to 150 kV - a priority tendency.
- This type of a generator allowed for acquiring a little-studied phenomenon - the volume streamer discharge constantly burning in a gas medium. The research of the phenomenon, ignition in multiphase and condensed media, and also the study of applied aspects of this phenomenon refers to the next tendency of the research activity of the department.
- The applied value of the phenomenon is supposed to evolve towards use of the volume discharge for purification of furnace gases, nanomaterials production and compact shaping, influence on rheology of liquid viscous media, and other possible applications.
- Development of the diagnostics and monitoring of electrophysical processes, development of applied aspects of high-frequency processes with respect to the monitoring and diagnostics systems for the dielectric state of objects.
- Continuous work on refurbishment and improvement of the earlier devised high-voltage equipment for electrodischarge technologies taking into account the modern achievements of intelligent control systems.
